little did we know at the time but this would be the last birthday we would celebrate with Dad. As you can see he looks quite frail as he was very ill but we didn't realise then he would leave us within months. He had a great time and this 'surprise party was arranged around him all day as he refused to go out and 'pretended' all was normal!!!!
Yes he does look very frail. Very poignant photos, makes you realize how lucky he was to be surrounded by all of his children and his grandchildren. I missed it as usual but the spirit was there. I was just looking up old photos of him the other day in his more youthful days. He looked well in those days but life extracts a price for the privilege of being here.

Gone but not forgotten thats for sure..thats how i want to go looking at my kids beside me....R.I.P granda.
