I really regret not knowing Dad at this time of his life when he was relaxed and enjoying the present instead of worrying about the future. This is a different man than the one I knew growing up. He is much more relaxed and approachable and more on an even keel with his children. I think Mam also changed during this time as she wasn't subject to the same worries and concerns as she had been in the past. It is a good lesson to all of us to stick to our chosen paths./
This is the cost of living away. YOu only see family for small amountss of time. It has always been the poor side of the bargain, and I have many times wondered if it was worth it.
Yes Colin...I imagine thats just how it is....it's the main thing that stops me from moving away to a 'better' life.......ah small world but too big in this instance!
