Some of the photos from that site Carolyn sent me are truly wonderful. This one must have been taken in the sixties. You can almost tell what the weather was like looking at it. I used to ride my bike to work in Clerys and later the Gresham and I used to come down Lord Edward Street on my way in. Unfortunately I then had to ride up on the way back with steeple from Chistchurch taunting me in the distance. This photo brings back all those memories and make me feel as if I had never left. So real is it.
It is great to see all those old photos Carolyn and thanks for the tip. I put a couple of photos up there myself. Quite a few of those photos were taken of places that I used to pass on my way to work when I worked in Dublin, so it really takes me back to a simpler time. It wasn't simple then, at least we didn't think it was, but now looking back from today I realize that we should have worried a little less and enjoyed ourselves a little more because they were really good days. We had our family, everyone was in good health and the world stretched out before us.
