I think the labour is only starting. I've read that a lot of birds mate for life and stay together during the mating season, because feeding those hungry mouths is too big a job for one parent.
That picture is so good it deserves a prize, and so will you by the time they have vacated the premises. A pile of bird do under a nest begins to pong in a short time.
