can Eileen's request extend to this quarter of the world?. Though Joe was an uncle in law, Queen Eileen is my mam's sister and well worth having her and Joe on disc please...
That is a lovely collection. Some of them are new to me. I never got to know Joe well as he was usually in bed during the day when I used to visit. He worked during the night. I often wondered how he managed to sleep. He looks like a very gentle and caring father, but I was a bit afraid of him as Eileen (his wife) used to call him the Father Bear.
Brendan, that is lovely, thanks for putting all these photos together, and doing such a great job, something to keep and treasure for everyone, really appreciate it!
yes Brendan, Include me in the file list. Can you send it to me??... I you just send the file I will get someone to sort it out here and make it work..
Again, Great job.
And Evelyn, Yes My Father was quite the man. In Irish/Dublin terms, he was our Da in every sense of the world. He and Mam brought our very large family from so very little, to so very much, and through all of these years, miles and circumstance, we are all as close as if we were standing next to each other. A giant task, and very well done by both of them. They gave up so very much for us, and that bonds us all together more than simple blood and bones.
You have put it so well Colin. They did a wonderful job in hard times and the result is a great family of close friends. Good on you Eileen. You have a lot to be proud of and I am sure that Joe is smiling down indulgently.
