God Graham Crumlin looks so nice in these photos,When did you take them?? For the Family that are living abroad the pub on the corner was Mooneys and yes they are apartments just up the road.
A few years ago,I decided to go and take some photos in the old school.. I walked around and it was closed. So I went looking for the caretaker. I eventually found him in the wing of the school that I went to. I asked him if I could walk around the school and take some photos of the interior and go see my old classrooms. He looked at me with an odd look and said... "There are not many people your age who have enough nerve to come back here after all these years".. Thinking back it was a pretty bad experience, even through the mist of nostalgia..
I went through the old classrooms and took a good many photos. Although much had changed in the thirty five years since I was there last, it still had that smell, and everywhere the little details that had remained unchanged... like the winding mechanisms to open and close the windows in the class rooms.. The terrazzo floors. the glass doorways at the end of each hall....the stairs between the floors.. but most of all,, the smell. The toilets however were upgraded and showed no signs of the Calcutta slums that they were obviously copied from.
