Hi Graham, Those pictures really bring back memories. I used to visit your Nanna (Eileen) every week when I was a teenager and used to walk that road with the little cottages on it.
The picture of the castle is great. I have a collection of old books. One of them is "The bridal of Drimnagh". It's packed in a case now because of my renovation, but I'll take it out as soon as I can and publish some info from it. Rita and Mam (Peggy) and I did a tour of the castle back in the late 80's or early 90's. It was very interesting and the tourguide quoted from the poem (my book mentioned above).
