This is the writing on the bottom of this photo in better contrast. It seems to say ' Tommy'
Anyone know who this is ? Looks like 1887 on the bottom right.

So frustrating not to know. He is about 7 making his first communion. I presume there is nothing written on the back. Everybody reading this, please write names and dates on the back of your photos, especially the old ones. Future generations will appreciate it when they are going through your stuff after you have flown.

Could it possibly be granna making his communion? He does bear a resemblance and the date would be right. A wonderful find if that is the case.
Does anybody else think Kieran, Colins son, has a look of this boy? I enlarged it to see if I could see 1887 on it.. (I could'nt).. and was a little taken aback to see a resemblance to Kieran..

What happened to him. The resemblance to my son Kieran at that age is astounding.
Maybe it's Jimmy and not Tommy. Was Granna called Jimmy when he was small! The date 1887 would fit Granna better and the boy does have Granna's long face. As well as that Granna would be more likely to have kept a picture of himself. On the other hand it could be one of the Maguires!
