This is a very interesting little slide show of Colin doing his thing in his shop. I wish more people would do this kind of thing as we are always fascinated by how the other spends their days both personally and professionaly. So, sign up a family member and have them do a small documentary on you to post. As for me, well, I would love to see Mam holding court in 161.
Let's see your workspace and what you do all day.
The only thing I would change about this presentation is to find out where Colin's barber lives, drag him out of his house at midnight, put him up against a wall and shoot him. Hee Hee!

Colin that is brillo, and don't mind Jim your hair looks great!!!
He's always messin'
Hi Colin. That is wonderful. Are all those men employed by you? Obviously the priest is a customer. You look very relaxed and happy. Is one of the young men your son, and if so, which one?
Don't mind Jim about the hair, he is jealous of your good looks. You look great, very handsome, don't change a thing.
Some day I might treat you all to a picture of me in my workroom.
You look lovely in your workroom Evelyn, i seen you there in action and was very impressed.
Eh, leave our Colin alone, there is nothing wrong with his hair! This was very interesting, great to see him at work, only thing that concerned me was the people seemed to multiply and then disappear! The Demon of The Organ Builder at work maybe?
this is fascinating Colin you are so talented. Do not see Kieran among the instructees so Evelyn cant either. Hope he inherited your talent. The hair is not the same but yours is gorgeous . Dont mind Jim at least yours is the right colour. He may have more but its the wrong colour.
Forget the hair do, is that a Rolex?????? Nice pictures, great series.
Hold on now.....my poor hair is making a hasty retreat, no need to egg it on. and I am glad to see that jim git is living up to his name.
This was during a tour of Catholic Seminarians. "soon to be priests" at my shop. We are in the process of building an instrument for them. And I am explaining the process.
Kieran is not in the photos, and the only employee in the photos is wearing a tan company sweatshirt. Rich Lewis, a great man and an accomplished theater and classical organist. I have 7 employees, they were workin in the other various workshops.
nice one Colin

You have to understand, Colin only gets his hair cut twice a year. These pictures were taken just after his trip to the barber!! I think his hair looks terrific.
You look gorgeous Colin sure arent
you related to the rest of us. You have great talent and the hair crowns it.
So there
A very interesting slide show. Is being able to play the organ a prerequisite to being able to restore it? I imagine you would have to have some musical talent or does someone come in afterwards and tune it or help the restorer to tune it. You would have lots of work here in Germany Colin. Almost every church has a campaign going to try to drum up funds to restore the organ(s). One of the churches here in Nürnberg has the second largest Organ (Anlage)(A difficult word to translate esentially meaning everything that belongs to the organ(s)). That particular church has three organs. The largest organ Anlage is in Passau (originally late Gothic organ). Passau used to have the largest in the world until it was preempted by a convention hall in Atlanta, U.S.A. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZEuXm3hMXk There's actually a heated dispute going on about which organ Anlage is the largest in the world. Some claim that an organ in Los Angeles is.
I have just looked atr this and I have to say it is very impressive. I am very very proud of our Col, he built this up all by himself and is very successful. Thing is you would never know until you see the like of these pics.....he is too modest really. His hair by the way looks very nice and his mam would be very proud of how well turned out he is!!! as far as I'm aware Dor Colin does the tuning also..I think he takes care of the entire process...he is of course musically talented as well. Colin has the biggest heart....is always willing to help and loves his work with a passion.
I enjoyed looking the slides and admire Colin's work!
As for the hair: I can't believe the poor fellow was being picked on!
ok i calling Stuart up right now to slag him thanks bren.
Hi Colin, After hearing about these photos for 2 days now I finally had a chance to sit down and look at them. (I've actually been working a lot.) Anyway, great pictures of you and the shop. Don't mind the hair, at least you still have natural color.
