Made my first 'phone call on one of these. The one on the corner in front of St. Agnes' church.
Very funny Brendan. I like it!
Terry was good at tapping them
I tapped one in Mooneys once. A thrilling experience. I was amazed that I could do it.
What's tapping?
From what I remember Terry you tap the number on the phone cradle with your index finger, nine times for nine for example, and you dial the zero. You have to be fast and exact. Everyone was doing it in Dublin in those days.
Never heard of that. The only tapping I knew about was on the ciggies.
Too young son, too young !
