Mam With Terry In The Pram, O'Connell St Bridge

This was in 1947. This is not a good photo of Mam but it is great to see it anyway. She was much prettier than this photo lets on and I am sure it was because she hadn't moved to Crumlin yet and she was unhappy where we were living. It was in Marlborough St. and it was not suited for a small new family. Dad was working so Mam would take walks to get out of the place for a few hours. This must have been one of those walks. She was happier once she got to Crumlin.

That was the first thing that came into my mind. Then I saw she was scratching her ear or blocking the sound of Terry crying in the pram. Oh, I forgot, Terry only smiled.

Hey, I can't believe that you both said that about the "phone." Even after I looked at it many times, it's the first thing that comes to my mind.

I think I remember Eileen telling me that Terry was her favorite. If memory serves, Phyllis also told me that Terry was very special and never had to do any chores. Ahh, God love him.
He is still special.
