Here is the detail on that gorgeous aran waistcoat. It is still pure white. Anyone remember knitting this. No messin' please as in " I knit that sweater !" Also, what are the names of the stitches on this piece ?
This I know for a fact...t'was me!!! There is a diamond, a cable and, I think, a double moss stitch. The reason I know it was I, is because if you look closely at the hem of the two front panels you will see that I had tried to fashion the pointed ends of a waistcoat. There was no pattern as such, and I improvised, at your request, if I remember correctly.
That's right Anne. I am sure you are surprised to see this resurface in such good condition after all these years. You certainly did a good job on it and it has many , many years of wear on it yet. Probably more than me, but then I am used a little more often I am happy to say.
