I'm loving all these pics Jim-Bob...very interesting....You may not know it but all us 'wans' train every day just in case we get an invite to Oregon to be your scullery maid....it's a dream we all have... please pick me first... the Pic of Dad and his brother Peter I've never seen before...Dad must be the one crouching down...wasn't Peter older than him ? anyway it's great to see all these...keep them coming.... BTW...Mam...if you're looking for all the pics you can't find...Jim has them...LOL...
Where was this taken, do you know? We all went through our training, (some more than others) and we carry our skills wherever we go in the world, I actually have an A+ degree in scullery- maidology....the photo of Dad and his brother Peter I have seen many times before, I think Peter was the eldest and died when he was a child....
Ha ha very funny indeed!!! Yes this was taken in Philly in Terry's house where I did my overseas training....(kitchen appliances were MUCH bigger in the states in those days!!!) Terry girl was a hard taskmaster ha ha ha and I came away very experienced! However Audrey I would have to say would be the perfect choice..while Anne and myself and Phyllis of course are fully qualified...with distinction in the skills of scullery-maidology, Audrey's unique attention to detail will ensure that all dirt surface unseen even non existent will be exorcised from your home..(they may even get a movie out of it!!)Please take her to Oregon.....ha ha ha
Hey, that's my old kitchen. No one was supposed to see the pictures of Eileen working in our house. It was our dirty little secret on how we really treated her. What did we call you back then Eileen???
Well now Terry...I don't remember..perhaps the trauma has blocked it from my mind!!! I know it wasn't 'dear' or 'sweetie' or 'precious'......nah not coming to me.....(why am I beginning to sweat...why am i beginning to sweat!!!)...ha ha ha
Yes we were all very well trained in the scullery department,I personally have an A++++ and that's just in dish washing not to mention the other household skills, first lesson on how to scrub the floor, always start away from you and always dry the nearest to you, why you might ask, because you can keep your FROCK dry hahaha but true, oh and if you bring Audrey over you will be limited on what you can cook......no Cabbage, no fish, anything that might leave a lingering smell is a no no but she will do a great job on everything else!!
I have a special diet done for Audrey. Plenty of vitamins, lots of porridge and bread and butter. She'll be a new woman. She may not even go back but stay here to take care of her big brother, God love him. She never got to do that. She always got run over in the rush between Phyllis and Anne.

Looks like Audrey is the one. We will have to work around the high maintenance issue.

I scrubbed a few floors myself.
