That's right Abbie shares her birthday with her great Grandad. Very coincidentally she also shares her birthday with her great Gandmother on her fathers side...both deceased. Very special date....!
I thought everyone was familiar with this photo. Dor sent me this a few years ago and it was repaired. I think I posted it. Anyway, for those not in the know this is Granny and Granda Waddell in a very rare photo and a great photo I may add. Peggy and Mam are on either side of her. This is indeed a great photo to have. I have a very large file available so if anyone wants one just let me know. The photo must have been taken in the '30's or even sooner.
Peggy was 6 years older than Eileen, she was born in 1917,so this was mid twenties, I think taken in London, it was Peggy's communion dress but taken a year later. Nana was twenty when Peggy was born so she would be less than 30 in this.
I've seen this photo so many time, i look at it every time from top to bottom and each time i see something new, like today i see the clip under Grandad's shirt collar, i hadn't noticed that one before.
Thank you, thank you so much. I plan on framing it after I put all the info that I've gotten from this site on the back of it. Again, that you so much. terry

My fabulous wonderful dad. Always remembered and loved. Your daughter Eileen.
heathere he was born in 1881 so that would make him 129 yrs old as Therese rightly says.

That's amazing Therese.Where did all these very interesting facts come from? I will keep these notes.
