This is a very interesting tour of Glasnevin Cemetery. There are lots of interesting facts and things to see. At the start he talks about the Royal College Of Surgeons in Dublin. We were given a full tour of this college while I was in the medical side of the FCA as a teenager. It was amazing. There were bodies, body parts, things in jars that you wouldn't believe and a surgeon to explain it all to us. It was all very clean and hygienic so there was nothing that would make us feel queasy except for the sight of the dead bodies.
No going back twenty years or posting those favorite photos where we looked beautiful. Scars and all this is how we look today and we should be proud of it for a change.
I can hear them all now ( Speak for yourself youngfella ! )
This is one of my all time Favorite songs ,but this version i think , show's knopfler's genius... to transit the intro through the ages of music arriving at the ultimate classic pop song...showing that music..and the wonderful Shakespeare tale of love and tragedy ...is timeless
Courtesy of my friend Daniel. Does this not make you want to spend a cool afternoon with some good Greek food and wine and gentle conversation ? Leonard Cohen probably ate here.
I still have that Aran cardigan and it still fits me. A great sweater attracting lots of compliments on the craftwork. It must be about 20 years old or more and I can't remember who knit it for me. It was either Anne or Phil.
