Michael Jackson, You Were There - Sammy Davis Jr. Tribute, 1989
This is an extraordinary piece of work by Michael Jackson. He is paying tribute to Sammy Davis Jr. for his long years of paving the way for black entertainers. It shows the great talent that Jackson was. I have always admired him. He has an huge presence and a beautiful voice. It was a great shame to have lost him.

Kissing The Blarney Stone With Paul In 1974
This must have been about a week before the accident. I'm still waiting for the gift of the gab. I think God forgot to send it to me.

Glasnevin Cemetery Tour - Culture Night 2012
This is a very interesting tour of Glasnevin Cemetery. There are lots of interesting facts and things to see. At the start he talks about the Royal College Of Surgeons in Dublin. We were given a full tour of this college while I was in the medical side of the FCA as a teenager. It was amazing. There were bodies, body parts, things in jars that you wouldn't believe and a surgeon to explain it all to us. It was all very clean and hygienic so there was nothing that would make us feel queasy except for the sight of the dead bodies.

The Now Of It.
No going back twenty years or posting those favorite photos where we looked beautiful. Scars and all this is how we look today and we should be proud of it for a change.

Mark Knopfler - Romeo and Juliet
- This is one of my all time Favorite songs ,but this version i think , show's knopfler's genius... to transit the intro through the ages of music arriving at the ultimate classic pop song...showing that music..and the wonderful Shakespeare tale of love and tragedy ...is timeless

Postcard From Greece
Courtesy of my friend Daniel. Does this not make you want to spend a cool afternoon with some good Greek food and wine and gentle conversation ? Leonard Cohen probably ate here.

Aran Cardigan
I still have that Aran cardigan and it still fits me. A great sweater attracting lots of compliments on the craftwork. It must be about 20 years old or more and I can't remember who knit it for me. It was either Anne or Phil.

TU-154 RA-85563 Almost Crash! (subtitles)
The hydraulics on this plane failed just after take off so there was no control on the rudder or ailerons. The wheels didn't retract so there was a huge drag. The plane had to be maneuvered by engine power to land. That explains the wobbling in the air. This could have been a huge catastrophe and only the pilot's skill prevented a crash.

Irish Singalong In Aunt Pat's Place
Great little session with Mam Pat and the girls during Colin and Joanne's visit to Ireland. These were regular events in the house and usually took place around 11 pm as soon as Dad left for work, poor fella he also had a great voice.
In winter everyone would sit around the fireplace and sing all these songs.

Happy Birthday Mr. Rolex
On the 3rd of September 1975 my good friend Bernard Brazier and myself went into a jewelers in Cairo Egypt and bought our Rolexes together. Mine cost 200 Egyptian Pounds and it was a big day for both of us. I think that was our wages for the month. Still ticking away 37 years later and it has only been cleaned and overhauled twice.
