I had never seen a bufallo in real life before I came to the United States. It has always appeared to me to be a noble beast. The only time we ever saw them were in Bufallo Bill and other cowboy comics as children. They were always associated with cowboys and indians.

Winchester Bay Part 1
Apparently this is the season of the whale migration so off to the beach we went to find some whales. Unfortunately the whales were not out that day but the scenery was great, as was the trip. It is just great to be able to get out to the ocean so easily and the trip is a joy in itself. On the way to the ocean there is an area where the elk roam free. I have gone there many times trying to get a close up shot of them but they have never come up close enough. This time they came up very close and when I reached for my camera I realised that I had forgotten it. What a dunce. Maybe next time. You can hear the wind whipping around by the elk but when we got to the lighthouse there was no wind whatsoever. This is one of many lighthouses up and down the coast of Oregon. What a place.

Winchester Bay Part Deux
What a joy it is to be on the beach with Dudley. Jack and Eddie were being groomed so they did not make it. The dogs come alive when they get to the beach. It is great to be able to walk along these isolated beaches in the wind and the rain with the roar of the sea and the sound of the waves coming in. Who needs to be on the crowded and commercial beaches of Nice and Rio when there is such peace here.
By the way; do I look fat in this coat?
Also, let me know if I am holding those poses long enough.

Phyllis And JP In London In The Sixties
Some of these were taken during the time that Phyllis was in London at the same time as myself. I don't think she really enjoyed it and we used to see her often. These photos must have been taken around 1966 in the back garden of the flat I had at the time in Kings Crescent in the Finsbury Park area.

New Years Day 2011
A nice quiet afternoon at the stables. A perfect start to a new year.
I have posted a video of this horse before. He is a Friesian, a magnificent animal of great majesty, height and stature. He was the horse you saw in the film, Sleepy Hollow, with Johnny Depp. He loves the camera.

Dudley Going Home
These were the antics of Dudley when I went to pick him up at the kennel when I got back from Seattle. He was delighted to get home after a run in the park.
Rosie the destroyer.
It is funny to watch this little terrier wrestle and fight with all the other animals. The big labs just lie on the floor and let Rosie fight away. The poor thing does not know what it is, except it feels pretty sure it is the boss.
