Apparently this is the season of the whale migration so off to the beach we went to find some whales. Unfortunately the whales were not out that day but the scenery was great, as was the trip. It is just great to be able to get out to the ocean so easily and the trip is a joy in itself. On the way to the ocean there is an area where the elk roam free. I have gone there many times trying to get a close up shot of them but they have never come up close enough. This time they came up very close and when I reached for my camera I realised that I had forgotten it. What a dunce. Maybe next time. You can hear the wind whipping around by the elk but when we got to the lighthouse there was no wind whatsoever. This is one of many lighthouses up and down the coast of Oregon. What a place.

Looking good J, lovely place.
Well Jem, that was very nice. Great scenery and a brief glimse of the moose. I had a sudden craving for a slice of Hovis listening to that music.
This is really nice, enjoyed watching it
