OK. Ok. Another video from JP. Let me know if it is getting too much. This is a typical end of winter start of spring day with the dogs in the park with friends. There are some who are not present in this video. At one point it became quite a club and chats went on long enough to rival Mrs. Dowdall at the front door ( Hey ma! The kettle's boilin' ) I particularly like the little sequence where the three dogs are coming in to the three shadows.
It became known as the canine club of Stewart Park and everyone would meet by no prearranged time but seemingly always at the same time. A few people were not there that day. What a life!
This little camera is a Vado and it is on Amazon for $62.00. So handy and so good.

My Funny Valentine - Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra was in his 70's when this was done. This is not an easy song to sing and he has missed the high ' stay' and 'smart'even when he was a young man. Here he gives it a poignancy I had not heard before, especially at the end. His voice has a slight rasp to it but it is like sandpaper rubbing on silk. For Sinatraphiles it is well worth a 'close your eyes' listen. For everyone else..... you don't know what you're missing.

Shopping For Shakespeare / Video Blog

A little trip on Tuesday to Ashland, about 200 miles from Roseburg. This little town is the Shakesperian centre for Oregon and people come from far and near for the plays. I hope to be able to go to one myself. I really want to see King Lear. Some of the scenes were done in the Shakepeare shop where there are all kinds of costumes, literature, videos and theatrical stuff on sale. More anon.
The music is from a tribute to Om Kalthoum. One of Egypts most renowned singers.

Colin's Walk With Dad In Crumlin Village

I found this on my old computer. It is a little noisy but still delightful to see. I haven't seen Crumlin Village in about 45 years and I certainly don't remember it like this. I see all the shops I used to go to as a chiseler. I also want Eileen to see the church where she was baptised.

Brian was the last person I saw after saying goodbye to Mam in April 1965. I still see him playing on the street. I called him over and told him to be good. He said he would. Happy Birthday Brian.
