Bud Light Commercial

I thought I had seen most of the Bud Light commercials but I missed this one. For those who haven't seen it , it is very funny.

Photographers Autumn

Here are all the photos by our talented photographers of autumn in their area. Thank you for sending them to me and I hope you like the video. The music is 'L'Absence' by Serge reggiani. It is a melancholy song about missing someone, very much like the feeling of autumn itself which to me is always a time of reflection and change. There is another version on youtube with Willy Nelson singing 'September Song'.
Again, thank you to all the talented photographers for their submissions. Let's do something again soon. It was only after I made the slide show that I realized that the red type is difficult to see. Will do better next time.
I am being a little self indulgent with the music here. This song takes me back through a few decades of memoreis and numerous people. Be sure to watch the Willie Nelson version on youtube.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I took these photos the other night from our back deck. I thought the moon was so pretty that night. I just had to share them with everyone.

Happy Birthday Sean. 27 on the 26th.

A Thought And A Prayer For Mistreated Animals

http://www.kval.com/news/local/109300684.html

Read this and pet your dog. Try to donate something to the animal cruelty society. Poor things, how many suffer in this world that we don't know about.
There is also a photo gallery attached to this article. Someone should shoot this owner.

Dylan's Birthday today 11 years old

Wait until the taxidermist sees what we brought him.

Land Of Milk, Honey And, Of Course, A Little Vinegar

I realise that I may be overdoing this but the scenes that I come across on a daily basis are so gorgeous that I want you all to see them. I never get tired of photographing them and I am always in awe of nature and a higher power when I see them.
This part of the river is still but as you can see at the top there is a little action and the currents are very strong. In this beautiful river there are many , many drownings each year. They are usually adolescents  who are not aware of the danger behind the beckoning  beauty and alcohol is often a factor.
This is a reflection of the late evening clouds on the Umpqua River and is about five minutes from where I live. When you see sights like this it makes you wonder how this country used to look in the time of the Indians before the white man came. It wasn't that long ago compared to European history so it is easy to imagine the simplicity and unspoiled beauty of just a few hundred years ago.

King Brian ( aka Errol Flynn )

Posted for Brian. I believe this is in response to Colin's post but I will let Brian speak for himself.

Phyllis's Grandchildren

I got this picture of all my grand children (Aaron is missing ) for my birthday and i just love it.

To be honest, when I look at this photo I can't help thinking back to so many years ago when you were this age. It's even more amazing that this memory should be so vivid that I can still hear your squealing voice and see your curly hair. Mam was often the referee between us all. Now we are the referees.
This photo is like a lot of little Phyllises looking out at me.

Ground Mist Of An Early November Evening.

All of a sudden a mist started rolling in among the trees and over the fields. An eerie and beautiful sight. I half expected a few pipers to march out of the trees with bagpipes flaring and kilts swinging. 'Twas a misty Celtic scene.

The music is Brahms Intermezzo number 1 in E flat.

My Happy Little Girl Abbie XX

Three Tenors And Frank

The Three Tenors sing 'My Way' for Frank Sinatra in the audience.

Howdy Pardner

JP this afternoon having a good time by the river here in Roseburg . I keep going on about how beautiful Oregon is and how I am always in wonder at the natural beauty that seems to change from moment to moment. This was out by the joining of the south and north umpqua, a gorgeous sprawling park with leaves turning to gold and grass of emerald green. All watered and nurtured by the rain and the wind. The dogs love to run around here chasing the ball and just being themselves.
I have a lot of hats and this is my favorite cowboy hat. I got it from a saloon owner who I had done an ice carving for in Houston Texas when I first got to the United States in 1982 or so. In lieu of payment he pointed to a wall of Stetsons and told me to take my pick. This is the one I picked and I have had it ever since. I wear it quite a lot in here because it fits in.
I hope I am not boring you all with all these photos of Le Grand JP.
Because:
I'm only laughing on the outside
My smile is just skin deep
If you could see inside I'm really crying
You might join me for a weep.
