Philadlphia Visit.

Attention all you recent visitors to these great shores of the land of opportunity. I want to put together a little slideshow for the blog of the last visit to Colins. Can you send me some of your good photos so I can include them in it.

Photo

I don't know where this photo came from but it turned up on the computer. I am told it is Brendan's daughter Carolyn with Phyllis and that there is a little story about what Phyllis is saying to her. I will let Phyllis tell the story.
It is a nice little shot. I love the expression on Carolyn's face. It looks like the wonder and curiosity of a child.

Some Photos From Carolyn Walsh's 21st Birthday Party.

Panoramic Shot Of Dudleys Park.

This is the late evening sun streaming across Stewart Park. The acoustic shell on the left is where they play free music and films in the summertime. Lyle Lovett has played there as well as a lot of other big names. They also show free films there in the summer months. Hundreds of people show up for these events. They come in the morning and place their blanket on the grass in front of the stage and then come back to their place that evening. Amazingly the blankets are still there when they come back. By mid-morning or early afternoon the grass is a patchwork of blankets. I think that if anyone was caught stealing one of these blankets they would be lynched, so sacred is this event to the people around here.
Behind the shell is the Umpqua River where Dudley swims in the summer. I think I have mentioned before that this park is five minutes from the house and this is just a portion of it.
This panorama is a composite of three photos merged together and it is my first attempt at this.

Summer Flowers In Roseburg

Roseburg is a very small and charming little American town. Every summer flowers are hung from the buildings, lampposts and shop windows. They line the local main street and I really don't think anyone even notices them. I did a little tour of the city and found these little treasures everywhere. The music in this little video is so fitting to the lazy way of this little town that would like to call itself a city in Southern Oregon. This is only the second video I have done and it is my favorite. Some of you may have seen it already but I think it is worth a second look.

Stewart Park Roseburg

This is the local park where Dudley and I go everyday so he can chase his ball. It is only five minutes from the house. The river you see is the Umpqua River which flows through the city. This was made at the start of autumn a couple of years ago. Some of you may have seen this already. It is a great little park and full of children and dog owners in the summer.

I found this photo in a box today. Someone sent it to me a few years ago and it is such a nice photo that I am sure someone would like to see it.

I don't know what his birthdate is so I don't know how old he would be. Anyway, here is a little tribute to him.
